FAQ

What size screens do you stock?

All of our laser-cut screens are made to order to suit your specific requirements.

Can I have a design that’s not one of yours?

We have 20+ designs that we specialize in, however, if you require something that’s not in our range, we can work with you to create your own masterpiece. Design & drawing surcharges may apply.

What colors do your screens come in?

All of our laser-cut screens are made to order to suit your specific requirements and color choice. We can powder coat our screens in any color from the Interpol color chart. Surcharges apply to some colors.

Why does my screen not look exactly like the example in the catalog/on the website?

Most designs can be customized to different screen sizes and shapes and can be fabricated to allow for various fixing requirements. The designs shown are based on a ratio of 1:2 (i.e. 900 x 1800mm) so screen designs outside of this ratio may vary slightly to suit.

How do I attach my laser-cut screens to a wall?

There are a number of fixing methods for feature screens. They can easily attached to the face of existing posts or if you want them between posts, we can supply colour-matched angles to fix to. Another method is using small stand-off pins to give your screen an extra dimension off a feature wall. We also supply panel frames to which you can attach the screens directly.

Why are my gate screens 5mm smaller on each edge than my gate frames?

We manufacture Laser Cut Gate screens which are attached to the face of a gate frame 5mm smaller on each side to cater fro the gate frame’s radius edge and to ensure the screen doesn’t sit proud of the gate frame edge.

Why do my screens have holes around the edge?

As standard, we supply all Aluminium Powder-coated laser cut screens with 3mm fixing holes positioned approximately every 300-400mm around the edge (15mm in from the edge). If you do not require these fixing let your sales rep know, however, we do need at least one in every corner to be able to hang for powder coating. If your screen is longer or wider than 1500mm we may require a 3rd hole in the center of that length to ensure the screen hangs correctly throughout the powder coating process. This powder coating requirement does not apply to Corten Steel screens as they require no powder coating.

Why is my Corten Steel screen not covered fully in a rust patina?

Corten or weathering steel is designed to form a rust patina when exposed to the elements. A layer of rust forms on the outer surface and acts as a protective coating. This process does take a little time to fully cover the screens. You can speed up the process by spraying a low PH solution on the screen like lemon juice or vinegar. The colour and extent of the rust effect depend on the elements it is exposed to and will vary from panel to panel.
